Volunteer Fairfax Announces Anniversary Campaign
In 1975, Volunteer Fairfax was a simple operation with two people answering the phone. Today, the volunteer center relies on the latest online technologies – as well as the personal touch – to help connect people with the issues they care about and the organizations making a difference in our community.
Volunteer Fairfax is launching a campaign to help propel our growth into the future: $35 for 35 is a way not only to honor the contributions of volunteers who have helped us create the community we have become, but also to continue to expand the foundation of where we want to be.
Our next 35 years begins today. Please join our $35 for 35 cause on Volunteer Fairfax’s Facebook page and share your favorite volunteer experiences with others. And while you are there, consider donating to our cause so that others can recognize the “value” of a volunteer center’s role in civic engagement.
Your support will allow Volunteer Fairfax to deliver excellence in volunteering. This means you can count on us to provide quality projects with agencies we have visited, worked with and trained on volunteer management, who are addressing needs in our community. The volunteer center helps local nonprofit and public organizations effectively leverage our greatest human resource: volunteers.
