Last year, local nonprofits posted thousands of volunteer opportunities in the region on the Center's online volunteer opportunity board. Through these listings, Volunteer Fairfax generated 49,000 volunteer hours; an investment of more than $900,000 in volunteer time to area nonprofits.

Each April, Volunteer Fairfax recognizes outstanding community volunteers. In the award's 16 year history, more than 1,800 volunteers have been honored. Nominees and award winners are recognized at a breakfast ceremony supported by area businesses, elected officials and community leaders.

In conjunction with National Make a Difference Day, VolunteerFest® engages nearly 1,500 volunteers at Fairfax County nonprofits, the third Saturday of each October.
Volunteer Fairfax annually places and monitors more than 1,000 court-referred clients through its ACS program. These clients contribute approximately 33,000 hours of community service annually to area nonprofits and local agencies.
