the SI First Annual Volunteer Day

On Saturday, October 1, the SI employees, friends and family members participated in the First Annual Volunteer Day. For the Chantilly office, Volunteer Fairfax helped coordinate this day of service by providing project development, project management, evaluation, and consultation services. The volunteer center directly managed two projects sites.

2011 Accomplishments

Over 3,000 care packages were assembled for children of deployed National Guard or Reserve personnel.
Volunteers spread over 100 cubic yards of mulch across 4 trails that surround a recreation center.
