Volunteer Fairfax mobilizes people and resources to meet regional community needs.

Join the Campaign

Join thousands of other people in your area by becoming a volunteer. Below is a slideshow of just a few community members that volunteer. You can also find your picture on Facebook.

Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR.

Your personalized campaign ad will remind people that everyone can help the community in their own way. There are many reasons why you should volunteer. However, your reasons for volunteering are as individual as you are, but no matter what your reasons you can get a lot out of volunteering - you can learn about yourself, gain new skills and meet new people. Here is how you can join the Intégrate photo campaign:

PARTICIPATE by getting your picture taken at one of our events or by submitting your own photo. You can find the Intégrate Photo Bubble here. Just print it out, write your name and where you volunteer or a cause you support, take a picture and send the photo to Chris Copley.

EDUCATE by posting your personalized campaign ad to your personal social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc.

VOLUNTEER your time to many of the nonprofit organizations and county agencies that need your help.

Intégrate. Soy voluntario... ¿Y tú?

Intégrate, a campaign to mobilize bilingual Hispanic volunteers, enables Volunteer Fairfax to recruit skilled volunteers who have a passion for helping their community through service. This campaign hopes to recruit Hispanic professionals, a growing population, by encouraging nonprofits to provide resources and opportunities in helping individuals become more engaged and recognized in the community.

VolunteerNow!
As a resource to those who want to give of their time through volunteering we offer you the opportunity to Volunteer Now!  This is an online database that allows you to search for opportunities based on your location, interest and skills. To start volunteering now, click VolunteerNow!

Volunteers for Change
Do you have a desire to give back to the community but limited time to dedicate to training and an ongoing commitment? Volunteers for Change provides flexible weekend and evening volunteer opportunities for active, civically engaged adults (and young adults!) who have a desire to serve. The program offers over 55 opportunities to serve each month.

Family-Friendly Volunteering
If you are looking for a new, fun way to spend time with your family, consider family volunteering. Give Together: A Family Volunteer Day is a new event for families to make a difference in the community. The first Give Together was held on the MLK Jr. Day of Service January 18, 2010, at the George Mason University. Donating time with each other is always a unique way for your family to spend time together while helping your community. Family volunteer opportunities are available on VolunteerNow! as well as through Volunteer Fairfax's events such as VolunteerFest®. Be sure to also check our Community Events calendar for other activities around the area!
