Volunteer Fairfax

The Alexandria, Arlington County, and Fairfax County volunteer offices each have programs that allow you to try out community service slowly, with one-time, closed ended service opportunities such as park clean ups, reading programs and fundraising events. If you already give back to your community, Volunteer Fairfax can help you find new experiences. Each office also allows you to view many different types of community service opportunities on their websites in order to find one (or more) that suit your talents, time constraints and interests. For more information, contact Volunteer Fairfax at 703-246-3460.
The Northern Virginia Multicultural Volunteer Committee, a partnership of individuals and agency representatives, conducts outreach and volunteer engagement efforts to enhance the quality of government and nonprofit projects and events by recruiting and recognizing volunteers that represent the vibrant and culturally diverse makeup of the community.
Volunteer Fairfax is a lead member of the NOVA Multicultural Committee and strives to supply a list of volunteer opportunities for all individuals that seek to make a positive impact on their community.
