Honor your Employee Volunteers

Every April, Volunteer Fairfax produces the Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards. This annual event brings together 500 attendees, including volunteers, nonprofit leaders, corporate sponsors, and government officials and elected representatives. Nominees and award winners are recognized for their corporate citizenship at Fairfax County's only community-wide celebration of volunteerism.

Nominate individual employees, teams of employees or whole company. Nomination forms are available on the service awards page after January 1 and usually due in mid-February. Nominators should be prepared to describe the volunteer activity and its impact in the community, and attach pictures with the nomination form.

The nominee (or a representative from the nominated group) will receive a complimentary invitation to the service awards breakfast.

Nominations for the Governor's Volunteerism and Community Service Awards are generally due in early February. For more information, please contact info@vaservice.org.

Nominations for The Corporate Engagement Award of Excellence, which is given by the Points of Light Foundation at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service, are due in late March. For more information, contact awards@pointsoflight.org.
