Each day volunteers support nonprofits, schools, and government agencies helping them to fulfill their missions in our community.  They are skilled volunteers providing healthcare and legal services.  They are the helpers delivering a meal for a neighbor in need or making a caring call to an isolated neighbor.  You will see them planting flowers along the walkways of our public paths and at the loading dock of the local food bank.  Volunteers are everywhere helping  our community thrive.  This month is a time to celebrate the work they do and to be inspired by those serving Fairfax County.  Here are some resources to get you started honoring your volunteers.

Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards Ceremony

Volunteer Recognition Board

Our volunteer recognition board celebrates volunteers across the community. Together, these volunteers shine a light on the collective work and impact of volunteerism across Fairfax County. Select nonprofits and volunteers on the recognition board will also be recognized at an in-person awards reception in May (additional details are outlined in the toolkit above).
