A 9-month Community Engagement Conversation Series for People Who Live or Work in Northern Virginia, Suburban Maryland and D.C.

About this event

Volunteer Fairfax will host a nine-month cohort-based learning experience that will give you space to learn, reflect, discuss and act on affecting local change. You and your fellow participants will explore nonprofit community engagement topics of the Civic Circle through guided conversations based on the resources and information in Civic Life Today Magazine. The nine interlocking elements will include pre-read assignments, monthly virtual classes and a final project. Class topics include donate, listen & learn, purchase power, services, social entrepreneur, voice, volunteer, vote and work.

  2. 2. Equip yourself with knowledge to bring the Civic Circle to Life in conversations with neighbors, friends, family and colleagues.

The cohort will meet virtually the third Friday of each month from October 2022 – June 2023 from 8:30 am – 10:00 am. (Note first meeting on October 21 will be a 3-hour virtual gathering from 8:30 am – 11:30 am. All other classes will be 90-minutes.

The Cost for the Civic Circle Cohort is $99. Registration commits you to attend the 9-sessions. Space is limited to the first 30 registrants.
