Emergency Response Program Manager
Tejas Patel is a native of the Metro Washington, DC area. His responsibilities include managing a team of Volunteers that would be prepared and ready to assist with Volunteer Management and Donations Management during times of emergencies. In addition, he is also actively involved with engaging community members, leaders, and organizations in building effective and collaborative partnerships. Tejas works closely with the Fairfax County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and its various programs to include the Community Resiliency Groups (CRG) and Citizen Corps to ensure effective Volunteer Administration and Donations Management. Tejas started with Volunteer Fairfax in the Volunteers for Change program in 2007. He has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to interact and work with leaders in Emergency Management at various levels. He has earned an Executive Education Certificate in “Leadership in Crisis: Preparation and Performance” from the Harvard Kennedy School and holds a B.S. in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University, a MPH from The George Washington University and a MA from the American Military University. In his personal time, he enjoys volunteering and fitness activities.
