Passionate Ambassadors for Volunteerism
Are you looking to connect with the community? Are you passionate about volunteerism? Possess leadership qualities? Volunteer Fairfax invites you to join the Community Ambassadors Team (CAT)! VF Community Ambassadors are the “street team” for the volunteer center. They attend a variety of community events at schools, fairs, festivals, libraries, etc., sharing about how to get started volunteering.
What Do Community Ambassadors Do?
Community Ambassadors are a voice for Volunteer Fairfax in the community, interacting with individuals eager to begin their volunteerism journey. They will engage with people of all ages, staffing an information booth while doing a simple service project or playing a game, speaking to a group interested in learning about service opportunities in our community or helping attendees enjoy the event while learning about volunteerism.
In addition, some CAT members may be asked to participate in public relations or media activities, or be part of a story, or be in important photographs. So be ready to smile for the camera! Additionally, there are opportunities to act as event assistants, helping VF staff put on an important community event.
We also invite CAT members to leverage their public speaking and marketing skills to help us promote volunteer projects. Whatever the activity, as a CAT member, you represent the high ideal of service and professionalism!
