Congratulations and thank you to all agencies and volunteers who participated in VolunteerFest®. Almost 1,400 community and corporate volunteers donated their time to participate in the 17th Annual VolunteerFest®. Sunny weather conditions enabled volunteers from every corner of Fairfax County to join over 60 different projects!

VolunteerFest® is a region-wide day of community service held in conjunction with National Make a Difference Day. VolunteerFest® mobilizes hundreds of volunteers to help nonprofits accomplish tasks that they would not have the time or resources to do on their own. Join hands-on projects such as landscaping, maintaining outdoor classrooms at local elementary schools, participating in resume building workshops to assist low income individuals, help food banks by sorting or collecting food, assisting and engaging with seniors, and many others.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Anyone! If you are a first time volunteer, or a pro, we want you!
PROJECT LOCATION:
All project locations are within Fairfax County, and are searchable by districts.
TIME PERIOD:
Projects generally begin in the morning and usually last for two to four hours.
NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS:
Projects have a minimum of 5 volunteer slots, but many can accommodate up to 100 volunteers. Everyone can participate!
AGE RANGE:
Each nonprofit determines their own minimum age, but Volunteer Fairfax makes sure to include family-appropriate activities as well.
