VolunteerFest is a region-wide day of community service held in conjunction with National Make a Difference Day. VolunteerFest mobilizes hundreds of volunteers to help nonprofits accomplish tasks that they would not have the time or resources to do on their own. Join hands-on projects such as landscaping, maintaining outdoor classrooms at local elementary schools, sorting thrift shop donations, and many others. Last year almost 700 community and corporate volunteers donated their time to participate in VolunteerFest. Sunny weather conditions enable volunteers from every corner of Fairfax County to join almost 40 projects!
Who can participate?
Anyone! If you are a first time volunteer, or a pro, we want you!
All project locations are in the Northern Virginia Area.
Projects generally begin in the morning and usually last for two to four hours.
Check out this video of our 2013 event where 653 volunteers supported almost 40 project sites, giving more than 1,950 hours a combined value of $55,500 donated to the community!
