Annandale Christian Community for Action (ACCA)

Nancy Moy has dedicated more than a decade of service to strengthening food access and supporting families in the Annandale community through her leadership with Annandale Christian Community for Action (ACCA). As a member of the ACCA Board and Communications Chair, she plays a key role in advancing the organization’s mission and expanding its reach to those in need.

Nancy contributes more than 500 volunteer hours annually, supporting ACCA’s food pantry and assistance programs. She helps coordinate and promote food drives, increases community awareness of available resources, and ensures that residents can access essential services. Her efforts have strengthened connections between ACCA and the broader community, making it easier for individuals and families to find support during times of hardship.

A strong advocate for collaboration, Nancy helped establish a partnership with Food Rescue DC, bringing in weekly donations of fresh produce, baked goods, and other food that would otherwise go to waste. This initiative has significantly expanded the pantry’s offerings and reduced food waste. She also works with the Fairfax Diaper Bank to provide critical supplies to families with young children, further broadening the scope of support available.

Through her leadership and commitment, Nancy has helped build a more responsive and connected network of services addressing food insecurity and basic needs in Annandale. Her work ensures that essential resources reach those who need them most, while fostering a spirit of generosity and community care.

“Nancy Moy’s dedication to supporting food assistance programs and helping families in the Annandale community reflects the very best of volunteer service. Through her work with ACCA, she has helped expand access to food and essential resources while strengthening partnerships that support those in need. We are grateful for her continued commitment to our community.”
