“Mary Paden has been a community advocate for as long as I’ve known her, for over two decades. She always takes up the battle for the underprivileged or the person who cannot defend themselves. Her tireless dedication to affordable housing, social equity, and accessibility has left a lasting impact on the Mount Vernon District and all of Fairfax County. Mary cares deeply about people, listens, organizes, and acts with compassion, ensuring that no one is left behind. She is incredibly deserving of this recognition and is an inspiring example and the true essence of a community champion.”
