2026 Sully District Community Champion – Evan Braff 

Centreville Comprehensive Plan Update Task Force 

Evan Braff is recognized for his leadership and commitment to guiding the future of the Centreville community through his role as Chair of the Centreville Comprehensive Plan Update Task Force. Over a two-year volunteer effort, Evan led a complex and collaborative planning process that brought together residents, businesses, community organizations, and Fairfax County staff to shape a shared vision for the community’s future. 

Comprehensive planning plays a critical role in determining how a community grows and evolves, addressing interconnected issues such as land use, transportation, housing, economic development, and public spaces. Throughout this process, Evan provided steady and thoughtful leadership, ensuring that discussions remained inclusive, respectful, and focused on long-term outcomes. His ability to bring together diverse perspectives helped the task force navigate complex decisions and build consensus around key priorities. 

Under Evan’s guidance, the task force developed recommendations that will influence Centreville’s growth and development for the next 20 to 25 years. These recommendations support a balanced approach to community planning, strengthening connectivity, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring that Centreville remains a vibrant place to live, work, and raise a family. 

Equally important was the collaborative process Evan helped foster. By encouraging open dialogue and meaningful community engagement, he ensured that the plan reflects the voices and aspirations of local residents. His leadership demonstrates the power of civic engagement and the lasting impact that dedicated volunteers can have on their communities. 

Through his service, Evan has helped build a strong foundation for Centreville’s future, one that is thoughtful, inclusive, and prepared to meet the opportunities and challenges ahead.
