Event presented by Volunteers for Change, a program of Volunteer Fairfax
On a chilly Saturday morning, dozens of Volunteers for Change members, friends and family gathered at Fairfax City Hall to make fleece blankets for young patients at Inova Children’s Hospital. Luncheon for the hungry crowd was generously donated by Cabot Farmers’ Gratitude Grille.
More than 40 blankets were made each one was bright and cheerful, colorful and cozy. Volunteers were in good spirits; many came together with friends, others came with family. Some new friendships were struck as volunteers visited over their task of tying and knotting blanket fringe.
Volunteers for Change manager Kim Luckabaugh addressed the group acknowledging with gratitude the efforts of the volunteers, the support of Cabot Farmers and the City of Fairfax who donated the event space.
