Fairfax County Community Champions Announced
Fairfax, VA – April 20, 2023 – Volunteer Fairfax recognizes the outstanding work of volunteer leaders in the community.
Volunteer Fairfax, together with the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, recognizes the incredible dedication, talent and heart of these volunteer leaders. Each Supervisor selects their district’s Community Champion in recognition of their exceptional volunteer contributions. These volunteers support a wide range of work, from advocating and enriching our public parks, supporting community collaboration with local police, feeding front line workers during the pandemic and supporting young hearts and minds. Also, now in its 31st year, the Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards to be held on May 10, 2023 will recognize and celebrate this year’s Community Champions along with other exceptional volunteers across our region. Local nonprofits and government agencies rely on the dedication of volunteers to deliver on their mission and support their clients. Our Celebrate the Good volunteer recognition board shines a light on the collective impact of volunteers working across Fairfax County. Each and every one of these volunteers plays a role in keeping this community vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive to all who live here.
