Jennifer Williamson
CEO

Jennifer Williamson is a Fairfax native with deep roots in the community and a lifelong commitment to service. She is a highly credentialed nonprofit executive with more than 20 years of experience leading mission-driven organizations, building cross-sector partnerships, and strengthening civic and volunteer infrastructure. In recognition of her leadership and community impact, she was inducted into the Fairfax County Public Schools Hall of Fame in 2025.

Before becoming Chief Executive Officer of Volunteer Fairfax, Williamson served as Vice President of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the region’s largest chamber, representing a diverse membership of businesses, nonprofits, local governments, and academic institutions. She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Nonprofit and Association Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, as well as a bachelor’s degree in human communication from James Madison University.

A dedicated lifelong learner, she holds multiple professional credentials, including CFRE, CAE, IOM, CMP, SHRM-CP, CVA, and ACNP. She serves on the Virginia Service Foundation Board of Directors as Vice Chair and is a member of the Points of Light Affiliate Assembly. She is a past chair of the Certified Association Executive Professional Conduct Committee and past Chair of the Ethics Committee of the American Society of Association Executives.

Outside of work, Williamson enjoys kayaking and regularly volunteers her time removing trash from local waterways—often from her kayak.
