Patricia Medeiros is an experienced communications professional with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and experience in the nonprofit, healthcare, and agriculture sectors. She is bilingual in English and Portuguese.

She launched her career in nonprofit communications and, while still in college, gained early editorial experience working for a local newspaper, volunteering at a radio station, and supporting the National Wheat Fair in Brazil. She led magazine publishing projects, serving as both editor and designer.

At Volunteer Fairfax, Patricia supports the Director of Marketing and Communications and helps advance outreach and marketing efforts for RSVP-Northern Virginia. Her work includes developing communications and recruitment strategies, managing social media content, and creating materials that support Volunteer Fairfax programs, events, and brand visibility.

Outside of work, Patricia enjoys photography, podcasts, country music, and new adventures. She is also a volunteer puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind and is currently raising Keene, a male Labrador retriever.
