Patricia is from Brazil and has been in the United States for a little over three years. She is an experienced communications specialist with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Back in Brazil, she worked in the nonprofit sector for three years, as well as in the healthcare and agriculture industries. She was also an editor for a local newspaper and volunteered at a radio station and for the National Wheat Fair. In addition, she also had some magazines published, for which she played the roles of editor and designer.

Patricia is a bilingual professional fluent in English and Portuguese. At Volunteer Fairfax, she supports the director of marketing and communications as well as the outreach and marketing for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP-Northern Virginia). She contributes to the development and execution of the overall communication, outreach, and recruitment plan, building awareness of the brand. Manages the organization’s social media presence by creating and developing content. Assist with creative ideas and design for presentations, signage, web pages, and other communication channels to support signature events and Volunteer Fairfax Programs.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, photographing, experiencing new adventures, and listening to podcasts and country music.
