Tammy Deem is a Virginia native and has spent most of her professional career in Northern Virginia. At Volunteer Fairfax, Tammy is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with VF’s mission and objectives, including creating compelling content for all communication platforms, creating email marketing campaigns, maintaining and strengthening our brand identity, and assisting in the planning and execution of signature events.

Tammy comes to VF from the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and has nearly 20 years of professional experience in high-level marketing and communications work. She earned her bachelor’s and masters’ degrees in business management (marketing) from Clemson University in South Carolina.

Outside of work, Tammy loves to spend time boating on the Potomac River with her husband and dog, has recently become a gardener and loves to delve into home improvement projects.
